Cars

I usually do not watch animated features in theatres, but got the opportunity to watch this one. Thanks to Walt Disney for starting Disney Studios, that we do have pieces of brilliance made like ‘Cars’. Created by Pixar animation the film tells the story of Lightning McQueen a rookie racing car (Owen Wilson in voice) and the whole world of cars. The realism, subtle humor and attention to detail are amazing.

Directed by John Lasseter and Joe Ranft, technology really plays the biggest role of all. Technology however advanced cannot ‘imagine’ and the imagination comes in from the humans – John Lasseter and Joe Ranft.

The racing sequences are so realistic you almost think it’s real. The voices of Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Tony Shaloub, Michael Keaton and others add to the soul of a movie. Any movie with a soul is worth watching.

Definitely worth watching, that too on the big screen!
